About Us
WHO WE ARE
AND WHAT WE BELIEVE
WHO ARE WE?
We are an assembly of New Testament Christians who gather together
in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because of the standing we have in Christ, eternal life is found in the person and work of Jesus Christ through His death for us on the cross.
We do not have an affiliation, or follow a creed or church constitution
with a denomination, nor take any organizational names.
Our desire is to obey His word by meeting according
to the teaching of the Bible

A BRIEF HISTORY....
It was in 1982 that a group of Christians in the Port Hope area got together to have Bible studies in our homes. There were two families that were driving long distances to other Gospel Halls and there were some families who had attended the more recently closed Port Hope Bible Chapel. We happily fellowshipped together for a year in these studies and then prayerfully decided to meet together as an assembly and function with a remembrance service, a gospel message and Sunday school.
On April 3, 1983 we began meeting in a rented room at the Lion’s Centre in Port Hope where we continued for a year during which time we purchased our present building at 182 Cavan Street and commenced meeting at this “new” building in April of 1984. It had been a Pittsburg Paint Store and had had a fire in it at some point in time so there was a lot of clean up and renovation to be done. It was a flat roofed building and so some years later, with the help of many fellow Christians from several assemblies, we were able to put on a peaked roof. The stucco building was changed to vinyl siding later as well.
With the Lord’s help we continue on and pray that we will function in a way that honours Him in all we do and say.
